The good news is that Lebanon is a compact country. So compact that it’s possible to base in Beirut the whole time and take day trips all over the country. That’s what I did on my trip — and it made it so easy to travel all over Lebanon while coming back to the same bed every night. My name is Kate and in This article I'll share with you about my experiences on travelling to Lebanon. 

The earliest evidence of civilization in Lebanon dates back more than seven thousand years. Lebanon was the home of the Canaanites/Phoenicians and their kingdoms, a maritime culture that flourished for over a thousand years. In 64 BC, the region came under the rule of the Roman Empire, and eventually became one of the Empire's leading centers of Christianity. In the Mount Lebanon range the Maronite Church was established. Although the Arab Muslims conquered the region, the Maronites held onto their religion and identity. A new religious group, the Druze, established themselves in Mount Lebanon, causing a religious divide that has lasted for centuries.

Oman is the oldest independent state in the Arab world. By the 18th century, the Omani Empire stretched from present day Oman down the east coast of Africa. A new era began in 1970 when Sultan Qaboos bin Said changed the name of the country from the Sultanate of Muscat and Oman to simply Oman.

Lebanon officially known as the Lebanese Republic, is an Arabic speaking country in the Middle-East, located in Western Asia. It is bordered by Syria to the north and east and Israel to the south, while Cyprus lies just west of it across the Mediterranean Sea. Lebanon's location at the crossroads of the Mediterranean Basin and the Arabian hinterland has contributed to its rich history and shaped a cultural identity of religious diversity. Lebanon is home to roughly 6 million people and covers a territory of just 10,452 km2 (4,036 mi2), making it among the smallest countries in Asia by land area. Arabic speakers comprise the majority of the country's population, while Arabic is the official language, and spoken Lebanese Arabic is used alongside Modern Standard Arabic in daily life.

A country nestled on the edge of the Arabian Peninsula and boasting of its incredible attractions, Oman is a land that promises nothing but the sheer joy of a holiday. From historical forts and mesmerizing desert landscapes to the finest of beaches and scenic mountain ranges, one can find numerous places to visit in Oman that not only surprise but also inspire the tourists.

Also known as the Sultanate of Oman, the country is one of the top picks of travelers coming from around the world today, and rightly so. Its capital Muscat very much contributes to the charm of the country and highly popular amongst travelers coming for a holiday here.

Oman is a Muslim country and although it is quite modern and Westernised in some ways, in many others it is deeply traditional and conservative. Tourists are welcomed with open arms and a lot of hospitality and so is a great introduction for first time travellers to the Middle East. Much of the country’s interior falls within the sandy, treeless, and largely waterless region of the Arabian Peninsula known as the Rubʿ al-Khali.
